NASA will maintain a media telecon on June 7, 2022 at 11:00 am ET (10:00 am Central) to debate “analysis about intense summer season thunderstorms over the central United States and their results on Earth’s environment and local weather change.”
“NASA and college scientists are learning thunderstorms for the second 12 months in row as a part of the Dynamics and Chemistry of the Summer season Stratosphere (DCOTSS) mission.” The mission’s base of operations is the Salina Regional Airport in Salina, KS.
Individuals within the media telecon are:
- Kate Calvin, NASA chief scientist and senior local weather advisor at NASA Headquarters in Washington
- Ken Bowman, DCOTSS principal investigator and professor of atmospheric science, Texas A&M College
NASA’s press launch doesn’t point out if the telecon will air on NASA Dwell as these telecons normally do and it’s not listed on the NASA Dwell schedule as of June 5.
