  2. If the UK has learned from our mistakes, they need to fire this PM before it's too late if she is anything Trump then you'll be paying a high price for ignoring this warning

  3. It's hard to believe the people who call themselves as elitists, the people who tells us how to live, what to say, what to believe, are this freaking incompetent.

  4. The video clip is missing significant context.

Not only is she in a struggle for her political future, her own party is in open revolt against her – UK media is awash with senior party grandees saying that she's a disaster and they want her gone, with some even saying that perhaps there should be a snap general election (although a GE isn't due for another two years) to replace her, and her cronies, in power.

Some pragmatic senior Tories are even saying that perhaps they deserve to have a snap GE and get booted out of power and into Opposition for a few years, to refocus the party, get back in tune with the electorate – and to let Labour try and fix the absolute dog's dinner of a mess that the Tories have let the UK become.

Meanwhile, Left, Right and Centrist media and political voices are – unusually – in significant agreement, either howling about how useless Truss is and how disastrous she is for the UK economy, or giving voice to party rebels and pundits gloomily commenting on the despondency within the Tory party, and mulling over electoral wipeouts whenever the public do get the chance to vote, with a few old hands musing whether the wide range of issues that Truss – and the party, to be fair – have let blow up translate to an existential threat to the party itself, politically.

All that context is missing from this brief clip of Truss giving her widely-criticised 'presser' here, after which she took just four questions before exiting rapidly – a move which was later in the evening called "a mistake" by the party, having done little to calm political and economic jitters.
